GASTRONOMY AT THE BAR
DRINKING IS NOT A LECTURE,
IT IS A CULTURE.
There is a simple fact that 1+1 is eqaul to 2. This formula stays the same regardless of our age or era, or location; Seoul, New York, Edinburgh or wherever you are. However, drinking is different. Every country has different LTA; Liquor Tax Act, so the most important thing for responsible drinking is understanding various culture first.
A combination of bar and gastronomy, ‘Barstronomy’ is being followed by this approach. Time flies by and the drinking culture needs to move on to the next step as well. Classic is great. And after the golden era, every person, brewery, and distillery creates their own exceptional drinks, spirits, and cocktails.
Barstronomy’s goal is to encourage the pleasure of drinking these masterpieces by reflecting and expressing their wonderful cultural stories together. And this will result in improved satisfaction for our customers. In order to achieve this, bartenders should not settle for the present but constantly enhance our knowledge, skills, and mindset.
Yeongjun, the author of Barstronomy series, also says that the most important thing for our hospitality industry is to broaden and spread the true meaning of ‘Drinking Culture.’ For this, he consistently endeavors to combine his professional knowledge and skills in drinks, cocktails, and spirits with diverse cultural elements.
